Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR), alongside Temple Terrace Fire Rescue, fought a three-alarm fire at a CubeSmart storage center on 56th Street for over nine hours. The blaze, reported at 9:27 p.m., produced heavy smoke from multiple units, challenging crews as they worked to locate and extinguish the fire.
One civilian sustained burn injuries and was transported in stable condition. The fire was declared under control at 6:30 a.m., with firefighters remaining on scene to address hotspots. The cause is under investigation by HCFR’s Fire Investigations Unit. No first responders were injured.
