Homosassa, Fl — A 64-year-old man from Branson, Missouri, was fatally struck by a Chevy Traverse while crossing US-19 south of Ivy Place on Saturday, night at approximately 11:22PM.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Homosassa man with a 23-year-old female passenger, was traveling southbound when the pedestrian entered its path. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver and passenger were unharmed. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
