Winter Haven Captain, 35, Cody A. Khork Identified as One of Four U.S. Soldiers Killed in Kuwait Drone Attack

The Department of War has identified four U.S. Army Reserve soldiers killed in Kuwait while supporting Operation Epic Fury .

The deceased service members are:

  • Captain Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
  • Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
  • Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa

According to the Department of War, the four reservists were killed at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, when an unmanned aircraft (drone) struck their location. The incident occurred on March 1, 2026 (Sunday), during Iran’s retaliatory actions following the launch of U.S. strikes under Operation Epic Fury.

U.S. Central Command has confirmed a total of six U.S. service members killed in action in the conflict as of March 2, 2026, with the identities of the remaining two withheld pending next-of-kin notification. The four named soldiers were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command out of Des Moines, Iowa.

The incident is under investigation.
