Winter Haven, Florida – January 26, 2026 – The City of Winter Haven has announced the start of milling and overlay road work on select streets as part of its ongoing pavement management program.
Contractor Hubbard Construction will perform the work, which involves removing the top layer of worn asphalt using a milling machine and replacing it with new asphalt to restore pavement condition, extend road life, and address surface issues.
All affected roads will remain open to traffic during construction, with on-site crews directing vehicles. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 26, 2026, and continue through Thursday, February 26, 2026. Operations will occur between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
Provisions will be implemented to minimize disruptions to businesses, residents, and services including mail delivery. Motorists are required to follow flaggers and detour signage for safety. Digital message boards and informational signs will be placed in work areas in advance to notify drivers.
