Winter Haven Apartment Fire Damages Four Units, One Hospitalized

Winter Haven, FL – Early this morning at approximately 5:09 a.m., the Winter Haven Fire Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a fire at Briarcrest Apartments located at 200 Ave. K SE.

Upon arrival, crews found one downstairs apartment fully engulfed in flames, with the fire extending to the unit directly above. Four units sustained damage from fire, smoke, and water.

Eight residents were displaced. One resident was transported to a medical facility for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were injured.

The Red Cross is providing assistance to the affected residents.
