Florida Postal Worker Arrested for DUI After Allegedly Drinking on Duty
According to arrest records, a U.S. Postal Service employee was apprehended on April 12 for driving under the influence after reportedly consuming vodka while working in Melbourne, Florida.

The Melbourne Police Department stated that 33-year-old Katelyne Dye was observed driving a mail truck against traffic on South Harbor City Boulevard, weaving dangerously, and putting other motorists and a group of children fundraising at an intersection at risk.
A witness, capturing the event on dashcam, reported Dye tossing red Solo cups reeking of alcohol from the truck and nearly colliding with their vehicle. The witness, who followed the truck, saw Dye kick a cup out at a stop sign and contacted authorities.

Police found Dye disoriented, with a flushed face, glassy eyes, and slurred speech. She initially denied drinking but later confessed to taking two shots of vodka after an invitation to a party on her delivery route.
Dye was booked into Brevard County Jail on a misdemeanor DUI charge and has been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
