Suspect Faces Attempted Murder and Home Invasion Charges After Beverly Hills Shooting

Citrus County, FL – In the evening hours of July 19, 2025, Citrus County
Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives responded to a shooting incident in
Beverly Hills that left one individual critically injured. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Elijah Jacob Foster, was taken into custody and is now facing multiple felony charges.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. on July 19, 2025, deputies were dispatched to a residence located on  North Washington Street after receiving a 911 call reporting that a male had been shot multiple times. Upon arrival, deputies encountered two victims: a female who had been inside the home at the time of
the incident, and a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed that as the female victim exited the residence, she was confronted by an individual who pointed a firearm at her and forced entry into the home. The intruder then proceeded to the rear of the
house, where he encountered the male victim. Victim statements revealed the suspect fired multiple rounds, striking the male victim in several areas, including the neck, arm, hand, and groin. The injured male managed to run to a nearby residence to seek help.

The suspect, later identified by both victims as Elijah Foster, was located shortly after the shooting and was taken into custody without incident.

The male victim was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition remains unknown.

“This kind of violence has no place in our community,” said Sheriff David Vincent. “Thanks to the fast actions of our deputies, we were able to identify and apprehend the suspect swiftly. Our agency remains committed to protecting our citizens and ensuring that those who commit violent crimes are held fully accountable.”

As a result of the investigation, Elijah Jacob Foster was arrested and booked into the Citrus County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  •         Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm
  •         Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Without Intent to Kill)
  •         Home Invasion with a Firearm

Foster is being held without bond. Nothing further at this time.
