Plant City, FL — State Road 39 north of State Road 60 will close starting at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, for approximately 21 days, weather permitting.
Detours will route drivers via Turkey Creek Road or County Line Road. Eastbound and westbound lanes on SR 60, as well as CR 39 south of the intersection, will remain open.
Message boards and signage will guide traffic. Commercial vehicles and trucks must use posted detour routes and avoid local roads.
Delays and congestion are expected on nearby roads. Crews will replace asphalt pavement with concrete travel lanes on SR 39 north of SR 60. The project also includes resurfacing SR 60 from SR 39 to Clarence Gordon Jr Road and modifying median openings on SR 60 east and west of SR 39.
Construction is scheduled for completion by fall 2026.
