St. Petersburg Unveils 125 Affordable Housing Units

St. Petersburg, FL – On July 16, 2025, the City of St. Petersburg held a grand opening for Arya Apartments, a 415-unit development by Stock Luxury Apartment Living at 375 54th Ave. N. The project includes 125 income-restricted units for workforce housing, supporting Mayor Kenneth T. Welch’s Housing Opportunities For All Plan.

The development features two 5-story buildings, four 4-story buildings, and five 2-story carriage homes. Parking includes private garages in the carriage homes and 4-story buildings, with structured parking in the 5-story buildings.

Amenities include a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse, a resort-style pool, and dog parks. The main entrance is on 54th Avenue North, with access from 4th Street North and 1st Street North.

Funding included $4 million from Penny for Pinellas and $1 million from the City of St. Petersburg. An affordable housing density bonus agreement allowed increased unit density, with 30% of units restricted to households earning 80% to 120% of the Area Median Income.

The Housing Opportunities For All Plan, launched in April 2023, aims to address rising housing costs through renter support, financial assistance for maintaining affordable housing, and incentives for new affordable units. The plan expands on the City’s 10-year housing strategy.

The Housing Opportunities For All Pillar For Progress focuses on affordability to support first-time homeownership and encourage developers to build housing for low- and moderate-income residents. More details are available at stpete.org/AffordableHousing and stpete.org/pillars.
