SPCA Florida Offering $50 Off Dog Spay and Neuter Surgeries Throughout September

LAKELAND ,FL — SPCA Florida is offering Polk County dog owners $50 off all canine spay and neuter surgeries throughout September as part of an effort to make veterinary care more affordable and reduce unwanted litters.

The discount is available through September 30, 2026, at the SPCA Florida Veterinary Clinic, located at 5850 Brannen Road South in Lakeland.

SPCA Florida told us that regular pricing varies based on the weight of the dog. Canine neuter procedures typically range from $220 to $300, while canine spay procedures range from $250 to $400. The $50 discount will be deducted from the price quoted based on the dog’s weight.

The discounted service includes the spay or neuter procedure, a limited presurgical exam, e-collar, take-home medications, nail trim and pre-pain management.

Appointments are required, and dogs must be dropped off between 7 and 7:30 a.m. on the day of their scheduled procedure.

Additional veterinary services, including vaccines, microchipping and preventative care, are also available but are not included in the discount and will be charged separately.

SPCA Florida said the additional funding will allow the organization to reach more animals, help prevent unwanted litters and provide financial relief for pet owners who may otherwise struggle to afford the procedures.

For appointments or additional information, residents can contact the SPCA Florida Veterinary Clinic at 863-646-7722 or clinic@spcaflorida.org.
