The incident took place at approximately 2:25 p.m. at mile marker 232, north of Deering Parkway.

A 2020 semi-truck with trailer was traveling northbound in the center lane. Ahead of it in the same lane was a 2004 Volvo truck, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Lauderhill, Florida, with a 49-year-old male passenger from Plantation, Florida.
