


Saturday, June 28, 2025 – The National Hurricane Center reports that Invest #91L, a low-pressure system in the Bay of Campeche, now has a 70% chance of developing into Tropical Storm Barry, potentially the second named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.
Satellite imagery shows increased thunderstorm organization. The system, following Tropical Storm Andrea formed on June 24, is moving west-northwest toward eastern Mexico, with Tropical Storm Watches or Warnings possibly issued for the Mexican Gulf coast by later today. Sea surface temperatures exceeding 82°F are noted, and the NHC indicates heavy rainfall risks for southeastern Mexico and Central America.
