Polk County Sheriff’s Office to Open New Ridge District Station in Poinciana with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Ridge District Office on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The event takes place at 9530 Marigold Avenue in Poinciana.

Sheriff Grady Judd, PCSO deputies and staff, and members of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners will officially open the agency’s sixth district office. The new station addresses extensive growth in northeast Polk County.

The Ridge District will provide law enforcement, patrol, and investigative services to unincorporated areas including Poinciana, Davenport, Haines City, Lake Hamilton, and Dundee. It covers areas south of Ernie Caldwell Boulevard, the US 27 and US 17 corridors on the west extending east to the county line, and the Dundee area north of Tindel Camp Road including north Lake Pierce. The district serves an estimated population of 136,000 and handles approximately 18% of countywide PCSO law enforcement calls for service.

Following a brief ribbon cutting and flag raising ceremony, the public is invited to tour the new Ridge District Command Center. Free refreshments will be available, along with opportunities to interact with district staff.

The station includes a community room available free of charge for public use, including neighborhood events, meetings, and gatherings. Nothing further at this time.
