Polk County Public Schools Celebrates Graduating Seniors with Amazon Wish Lists

Polk County Public Schools announced the scheduling of Commitment Day 2026 for its high school graduating seniors.

Each high school will host its own Commitment Day event during the last two weeks of April 2026. The events will recognize seniors who have committed to post-graduation plans, including attendance at college, university, or training programs, as well as those entering military service or the workforce.

The initiative follows the model of College Signing Day, originally inspired by former First Lady Michelle Obama, but expanded to celebrate all next-step commitments.

PCPS is requesting community support for the events, specifically through donations to school-specific Amazon Wish Lists. The goal is to provide items that assist students transitioning to college, the workforce, or military service. Purchased items ship directly to the schools.
