Bartow, FL – On July 1, 2025, The Polk County Board of County Commissioners approved an increase in solid waste disposal fees at the North Central Landfill, effective October 1, 2025. The new fees set the disposal rate at $46 per ton for both residential solid waste and construction and demolition debris. Yard waste disposal will increase to $36.50 per ton.
The approved resolution also includes an annual fee increase of 5% for the next five years.
Polk County Solid Waste Director Dale Henderson stated that the revised fees will support the continued development and sustainable operation of the North Central Landfill.
