Polk County Deputy Injured in Early Morning Crash with Semi-TruckOn April 9, 2025, a Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a crash with a semi-truck on eastbound Deen Still Road, about half a mile east of SR 33 in Polk City.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 5:15 a.m., causing the PCSO vehicle to roll over. The deputy, who was able to exit the vehicle and check on the uninjured semi-truck driver, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lakeland Regional Health for evaluation.
The patrol vehicle was towed, and the scene has been cleared. The crash remains under investigation. Nothing further at this time .
