Hernando County, FL — According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on June 30th, 2025 at 6:47 PM, a 32-year-old Hernando man driving a Chrysler 200 was traveling northbound on North Croft Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle south of East Ramsey Street.
The vehicle left the roadway, entered the outside shoulder, and struck a utility pole, a tree, and guide wires in succession. The driver and a one-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries and were transported to area hospitals. It was unknown whether the driver was wearing a seatbelt. The child later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
