Osceola County, FL. — The Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash on Friday, August 15, 2025, at approximately 8:37 a.m. at the intersection of Nova Road and Deer Park Road in Osceola County.
According to FHP, a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a 23-year-old man from West Palm Beach, was traveling northbound on Nova Road when it veered into the southbound lane, entering the path of a 2009 semi-truck with trailer driven by a 42-year-old man from Orlando. The front of the Volkswagen struck the front of the semi-truck.
The driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced deceased at the scene. FHP stated that next of kin had not yet been notified as of the report’s release. The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
