KISSIMMEE, FL — Osceola County has opened a first-of-its-kind technology library designed to give residents hands-on experience with artificial intelligence, drone simulations, robotics, 3D printing, and other emerging technologies. According to Osceola County officials, the new Tech Library aims to help residents develop digital skills, explore career opportunities, and prepare for an increasingly technology-driven workforce.

Located at the corner of Bill Beck Boulevard and Fortune Road, the facility was made possible in part through a $4 million Multi-Purpose Community Facilities grant from the Florida Department of Commerce.
Unlike traditional libraries, the new facility focuses on technology and practical learning experiences. Planned offerings include an AI and coding lab, robotics programs, 3D printing, laser engraving, eSports and gaming, and a simulation center featuring drone operations and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The library will also provide workforce development resources to help residents explore careers, improve job readiness, and strengthen their digital skills. Private telehealth spaces will allow individuals to connect virtually with healthcare providers.
The project was championed by Osceola County District 2 Commissioner Viviana Janer, with support from the Board of County Commissioners.
“The Tech Library has been a passion project of mine because I believe every resident deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for what comes next,” Janer said.
County officials say the facility is designed to serve students, families, job seekers, and adults interested in learning new technologies while expanding educational and employment opportunities throughout the community.
