KISSIMMEE, FL — A hotel, condominiums, retail space and public parks are coming to downtown Kissimmee as part of the redevelopment of Toho Square near the SunRail station, according to the City of Kissimmee.
The Kissimmee City Commission approved a master development agreement for the project, which includes a five-story, 100- to 120-room hotel, 18 to 20 residential condominiums, ground-floor retail space and approximately 23,000 square feet of public park space. The Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency will reinvest up to $4.3 million in the redevelopment.
The agreement between the city, the Downtown Kissimmee CRA and SkyView Kissimmee Hotel Developer LLC covers property along Pleasant Street between Ruby Avenue and Monument Avenue.
The first phase includes the hotel and a public linear park featuring trees, a walking path and site furnishings. A second phase includes a five-story residential building with owner-occupied condominiums, ground-floor retail and a public pocket park.

About $1.5 million of the CRA funding will reimburse public infrastructure and site improvements, including utility and stormwater upgrades and railroad noise mitigation. The remaining $2.8 million will be provided through the Pioneer Project Incentive Program over five years after each phase receives its certificate of occupancy. The city will retain ownership of the existing Toho Square parking garage.
According to the City Of Kissimmee, the project will now move into site review, design, permitting and property acquisition before construction can begin. Nothing further.
