HIGHLANDS COUNTY, FL. (July 12, 2026) — Highlands County Road & Bridge and Traffic Operations, in coordination with Excavation Point Inc., will conduct milling and resurfacing operations on Kenilworth Boulevard between Thurston Avenue and Industrial Way.
The work is scheduled to take place from Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24.
Motorists should expect temporary lane closures on Kenilworth Boulevard, periodic closures of intersecting side streets, and detour and roadwork signs throughout the project area.
Drivers traveling through the area should allow additional travel time and consider alternate routes. Motorists are advised to follow posted detours, reduce speed in the work zone, and remain alert for workers and equipment.
The roadwork is part of planned roadway improvements in the area.
