Lakeland, FL – Starting Monday, July 21, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation will close the Exit 38 eastbound off-ramp.
A detour will be in place from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM EDT on July 21 and July 22, 2025, weather permitting, with tentative alternate dates of July 23 and July 24, 2025.

The detour will begin at Exit 33, following northeast on SR 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard), and return to Exit 38 to continue eastbound.Reported at 02:35 PM EDT, Friday, July 18, 2025.
