Hernando County Child Molester Arrested In France

Tampa, FL – On October 2, 2025, Daniel St. Pierre, a 59-year-old Canadian citizen, was arrested by French authorities in Bayonne, France, following an international manhunt. St. Pierre was wanted by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for multiple alleged offenses related to sexual molestation of a minor.

In July 2025, St. Pierre violated his pre-trial release conditions by removing a court-ordered monitoring device without authorization. This prompted Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit to issue a felony arrest warrant. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office later determined that St. Pierre had fled the United States to Canada.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office enlisted the United States Marshals Service to locate and apprehend St. Pierre. The investigation, led by the U.S. Marshals Service – Middle District of Florida, with support from the agency’s Office of International Operations, INTERPOL, and French authorities, spanned the United States, Canada, Portugal, and France. On Thursday, October 2, 2025, St. Pierre was arrested without incident in Bayonne, France.

St. Pierre is currently awaiting extradition to the United States. If convicted, he faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years in the Florida penal system.
