Haines City Police Department is investigating a late-night homicide that occurred Friday, April 3, in Haines City.
According to police, officers responded at approximately 11:48 p.m. to a residence in the Charles Cove subdivision following multiple reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found a Hispanic male in his late 20s outside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers and EMS personnel immediately rendered aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
No suspects are currently in custody, and detectives are actively investigating the incident. Authorities stated that, based on the information available, the case appears to be isolated, and there is no immediate danger to the public.
