Frostproof, FL — On Friday, October 31, 2025, Polk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported armed robbery south of Lake Wales near County Road 640 and US 27.
The suspect, 36-year-old Brock Tyler Sherrill of Frostproof, struck a victim with a blunt object, held the victim captive inside a vehicle, threatened the victim with a wrench, and stole personal property. The victim escaped through the passenger window and contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
The victim sustained visible injuries to the head, neck, arms, and legs.
Deputies located the suspect’s vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, and recovered the victim’s property. Sherrill was located and arrested.
Sherrill was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery, and false imprisonment.
Sherrill has a prior criminal history consisting of 8 felony convictions, 9 misdemeanor convictions, and two terms in Florida prison. Nothing further at this time.
