Upon arrival, officials located multiple spent shell casings in the area, along with bullet holes in the doors and windows of neighboring homes.

Through their investigation, detectives learned that Christie had arranged to meet Tirado’s co-defendant, 17-year-old Davinci Cheesman Dawson, for a drug transaction that turned violent, where a number of masked gunmen, including Tirado, opened fire on the victim. After gathering forensic evidence from the scene, conducting a neighborhood canvass, and collecting witness statements, detectives were able to confirm both Figueroa-Tirado’s and Dawson’s involvement in the murder of Christie.
