St.Petersburg Police: Home Invasion – The deceased suspect has been identified as Marcel James Williams DOB 1-1-05,of St. Petersburg.
– Initial Report –
April 16, 2025, a home invasion unfolded at 3401 40th St. N. around 2:00 a.m. Two men forcibly entered the residence, prompting a swift response from the homeowner, who fired shots in self-defense. One suspect was struck and critically injured. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released the deceased suspect’s identity.
The second suspect fled the scene and remains at large. Police are actively investigating but have released few details, citing the ongoing nature of the case.
