UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol has located the suspect vehicle, a 2017 Ford F-250, and arrested the driver, Jairo Pena Espana, a 21-year-old from Honduras, in connection with the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at approximately 6:22 A.M. on Florida Parkway, south of Birchwood Circle, in Kissimmee, Osceola County.
The crash involved an adult female pedestrian, whose identity is still pending confirmation, who was struck and later pronounced deceased at Osceola Regional Medical Center. Espana faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a license involving death.

Kissimmee, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at approximately 6:22 A.M. on Florida Parkway, south of Birchwood Circle, in Kissimmee, Osceola County.
According to FHP, the crash involved an unidentified vehicle and an adult female pedestrian (P1), whose identity is pending confirmation. Following the collision, the driver of V1 fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
Florida Parkway is currently closed in both directions at Birchwood Circle due to the ongoing investigation. No information is available regarding the suspect vehicle or its driver at this time.
