Wesley Chapel, FL — A fatal collision occurred on SR-52 at the 28000 block when a Ford Explorer, driven by a 37-year-old woman from Wesley Chapel, collided with an International cargo truck driven by a 51-year-old man from Orlando.
The Explorer was traveling westbound and attempted a U-turn into the path of the eastbound truck, resulting in the crash. Both vehicles came to rest on the outside shoulder of the highway.
The driver of the Explorer was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was also taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident
