ORLANDO, FL – On Sunday, March 15 2026, a single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:22 a.m. in Orange County at EPCOT Center Drive and Overpass Road.
A 2023 Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound on EPCOT Center Drive, north of Overpass Road. The vehicle was exceeding the posted speed limit and failed to negotiate a curve. It ran off the roadway in a northwesterly direction and collided with a tree.
The collision caused the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will notify FHP once the deceased has been identified. No other vehicles or persons were involved.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Nothing further at this time.
