The Northeast Polk Chamber of Commerce will host its 8th Annual Wine & Cheese Kentucky Derby-themed event on Saturday, May 2, at the Tom Fellows Community Center in Davenport. The event is open to the public and will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 207 North Blvd. West.
Tickets are priced at $30 per person if purchased in advance and $35 at the door, subject to availability. Attendees must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket.
The Kentucky Derby will be streamed live during the event. Admission includes entry into multiple door prize drawings, access to more than 16 wine samples, and a charcuterie table sponsored by Suncoast Credit Union and provided by Palma Italian Kitchen. Mint juleps will be provided by 1845 Tap House, and craft beer samples will be available from the Lakeland Brewers Guild. Beer and sodas will also be available for purchase.
The event will feature several contests, including hat and attire competitions with categories for best ladies’ ensemble, best men’s outfit, best homemade hat, and best coordinated couple.
A Random Horse Draw 50/50 raffle will be available to the first 20 ticket purchasers for $10.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available at multiple levels, including presenting, cabernet, chardonnay, and booth sponsorships, with limited vendor booth spaces remaining.
