Burn Ban Now in Effect Across Unincorporated Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL – Osceola County officials have implemented a burn ban for all unincorporated areas, effective May 1, due to extended dry conditions.

The ban prohibits all types of outdoor burning, including open fire pits, campfires, and the burning of yard debris. Officials stated the measure was put in place to reduce the risk of fire amid ongoing dry weather across the region.

The burn ban took effect immediately upon issuance and will remain in place until weather and vegetation conditions improve. Enforcement is being handled by Osceola County Code Enforcement, law enforcement, and emergency services personnel.

Osceola County Fire Rescue & EMS will continue to monitor conditions to determine when the ban can be safely lifted. Once lifted, officials said a notice will be distributed and updates will be posted on the county’s official website.
