BARTOW, FL– Bartow Regional Medical Center Names New Director of Operations

BARTOW, Fla. — Bartow Regional Medical Center has appointed Kofi A. Cash, D.Sc., FACHE, as its new director of operations, effective March 9.

Cash brings more than 15 years of hospital leadership experience across academic medical centers and community health systems nationwide. In his new position, Cash will oversee operational strategy, capital planning, and hospital performance initiatives. He will work with physicians, nurses, and administrative leaders to advance patient outcomes, strengthen operational performance, and support service expansion.

His appointment comes as Bartow Regional Medical Center moves forward with a $110 million campus expansion project aimed at increasing clinical capacity and expanding access to care in Polk County.

Cash said the role presents an opportunity to expand access to high-quality care in a rapidly growing region. He also emphasized the importance of engaging frontline caregivers and strengthening community partnerships as part of his leadership approach.

Cash holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Health Care Delivery Science from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He completed executive leadership education at the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and earned a Doctor of Science in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
