Tampa, FL — On October 9, 2025, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested Aaron Spencer, 33, for a bank robbery at Truist Bank on Memorial Highway. At 1:10 p.m., Spencer entered the bank, implied he had a pistol, and demanded money from the teller. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and discarded his clothing in a nearby parking lot.
At 4:38 p.m., a woman contacted HCSO’s 911 Communication Center, stating her son had robbed a bank and that she was bringing him to the District III office. At 5:45 p.m., Spencer was arrested and turned over the stolen money to detectives.
Spencer faces charges of Robbery with a Firearm while Wearing a Mask, involving an amount between $750 and $20,000. He was out on bond for a prior bank robbery in April 2025, investigated by the Tampa Police Department.
