Auburndale, FL – On August 2, 2025, at approximately 12:41 a.m., Auburndale Police Department officers responded to a traffic crash involving a sedan and a motorcycle on the westbound lanes of the Magnolia Avenue and McKean Street overpass (Hwy 92).
Both vehicles were traveling westbound when the collision occurred. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel. The sedan driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
The Auburndale Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the cause of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing. Names of the individuals involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
