Orlando Police Officer Arrested

Orlando, FL — An Orlando police officer, Oscar Polanco, was arrested on charges of fraud and grand theft tied to a scheme involving extra-duty assignments.Between May 17 and July 21, 2024, Polanco allegedly claimed $14,853.17 for 40 jobs he never worked. Investigators say he failed to check in for 38 of those shifts, didn’t log into his police computer, and never used his radio or body camera. The police report accuses Polanco of using the RollKall app to fake his presence, exploiting the unsupervised nature of the assignments. This marks the second Orlando officer arrested in recent months, following similar charges against retired officer Mathew Fleury.
