Kissimmee Police Arrest Suspect in July Homicide

KISSIMMEE, FL –The Kissimmee Police Department has arrested one suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred on July 11, 2026, at the Days Inn located at 4125 W. Vine Street.

On July 11, 2026, at approximately 12:49 a.m., Kissimmee Police officers responded to the Days Inn, following a report of an adult male suffering from serious bodily injuries. Upon arrival, officers located the victim with stab wounds. The victim was transported by paramedics to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, detectives identified Jihad Scott (DOB: 11/15/1993) and Keith Swinton Jr. (DOB: 10/9/1999) as the suspects involved in the homicide.

Arrest warrants were issued for Jihad Scott and Keith Swinton Jr., each charged with First-Degree Murder.

Keith Swinton Jr. has been arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail. Jihad Scott remains at large.

“I want to commend our detectives for their dedication and the hard work they’ve put into this investigation,” said Chief Charles Broadway. “This arrest is an important step, and we will continue working to ensure those responsible are held accountable.”
