
CLEARWATER, FL— A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Haines City on Monday and is accused of shooting another teenager during a disturbance at Clearwater Beach over the weekend.
During a press conference held Tuesday morning, the Clearwater Police Department announced the arrest of Noel Marsh III, who was taken into custody in Haines City at approximately 7:45 p.m. Monday. He is currently being held in the Polk County Jail.
According to Clearwater Police Deputy Chief Michael Walek, officers responded to Coronado Drive on Sunday evening following reports of a large fight that escalated into gunfire. The 16-year-old suspect allegedly fired seven rounds during the incident, striking a 17-year-old male in the leg, arm, and chest. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

The suspect has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, discharging a firearm in public, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor.
Police previously arrested another teen in connection with the incident. That juvenile faces charges of resisting an officer without violence, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of a firearm by a minor. The investigation remains ongoing.
