LAKELAND, FL. — The Lakeland Veterans Memorial Park was the scene of a death investigation Tuesday morning after an individual was found deceased on a bench, according to the Lakeland Police Department.
Police said officers responded to the park, located at 141 Lake Beulah Drive, at approximately 7:14 a.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive individual. Detectives also responded to the scene to begin an investigation.
While the investigation remains in its early stages, preliminary information indicates there are currently no signs of foul play, police said.
No additional information has been released at this time pending the ongoing investigation.
