WINTER HAVEN, FL – The City of Winter Haven’s Natural Resources Division is hosting a series of kayak ecotours on various lakes in the city throughout 2026.
The tours are short (within 3 hours) but information-packed guided trips. Participants can enjoy a fun morning on the water while learning about lake health, wildlife, plant life, and general lake ecology. The events are open to residents and visitors.
2026 Tour Dates (Subject to change; tickets are posted about 1-2 weeks prior to each event date)
• Saturday, February 7th – Lake Conine
• Saturday, May 23rd – Lake Silver
• Saturday, June 13th – Lake Ned
• Wednesday, September 16th – Sunset Tour on Lake Jessie
• Wednesday, October 21st – Sunset Tour on Lake Shipp
• Saturday, November 7th – Lake Conine
• Saturday, December 5th – Lake Hamilton
The City provides a fleet of kayaks offering 4 single kayak seats and 6 double-kayak seats (up to 12 people total). Participants may also bring their own kayak.
Multiple ticket options are available to suit different preferences—those using city kayaks or bringing their own.
