USF Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Two Missing Students

TAMPA, FL – April 21, 2026 — Detectives with the University of South Florida Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in locating two missing adults last seen in the Tampa area on April 16.

Zamil Limon, 27, a University of South Florida doctoral student pursuing a degree in geography, environmental science and policy, was last seen at approximately 9 a.m. at his residence on Avalon Heights Boulevard in Tampa. Authorities say there has been no further confirmed contact with him since that time. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office documented and processed his missing person report.

Nahida S. Bristy, 27, also a doctoral student at the University of South Florida studying chemical engineering, was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. at the NES Building on the USF Tampa campus. The University of South Florida Police Department documented and processed her missing person report.

According to investigators, a family friend reported both individuals missing on April 17 at approximately 4:50 p.m. after being unable to contact them. Both were entered into the FCIC/NCIC missing persons databases.
