DAVENPORT, FL – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit has arrested two roommates following an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography at a residence on Castlemain Circle in Davenport.

The arrests involve 25-year-old Jefferey Johnston and 24-year-old Ryan Braley.

The investigation originated from a cybertip reporting that several files were uploaded and shared by a user at the specified address.

Detectives secured a search warrant for the Google account associated with Johnston. The search revealed over 300 files containing images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of male and female children ranging in age from 12 months to 12 years old.

Additionally, investigators located a video showing an adult male sexually abusing a brown brindle-colored, medium-sized dog. The male subject in the video was positively identified as Braley.

On February 10, 2026, detectives executed the operation at the residence and interviewed Johnston. He confessed to owning the Google account, possessing all of the child pornography files, and stated that Braley had sent him the video depicting Braley sexually abusing the dog inside the home.
