Two Kissimmee Residents Die in Rollover Crash on Florida Turnpike

SAINT CLOUD, FL — Two Kissimmee residents died following a single-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday afternoon on the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. on June 23, 2026, near mile marker 240. Troopers said a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser was traveling southbound when, for unknown reasons, it traveled off the roadway to the left and struck the inside concrete barrier wall. The driver then overcorrected, causing the SUV to cross the roadway and run off the right side while rotating.

The vehicle overturned and struck the outside shoulder concrete barrier before coming to rest. During the crash, the 56-year-old male driver was ejected from the SUV.

A 65-year-old female passenger from Kissimmee was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol said next-of-kin notifications were still pending as of Tuesday afternoon. The crash remains under investigation. Nothing further at this time.
