The Osceola Board of County Commissioners has approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Orlando City Soccer Club that includes up to $50 million in combined investment to renovate and expand portions of Osceola Heritage Park.
Under the agreement, the Orlando Pride, the professional women’s soccer team owned by Orlando City Soccer Club, will relocate its offices, support staff, in-season training facilities, and year-round operations to a site within Osceola Heritage Park adjacent to Bill Beck Boulevard and U.S. 192.
Orlando City Soccer Club will construct a new training facility for the Orlando Pride and will assume management of Osceola County Stadium and the surrounding public-use fields.
Planned developments on the eastern portion of the property include an on-site medical facility, restaurant, and hotel.
The renovations and new construction are intended to support expanded programming at the park while maintaining existing events, including the Silver Spurs Rodeo, Mecum Auto Auctions, Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show, and Osceola County Fair.
The MOU serves as a framework for a future development agreement between Osceola County and Orlando City Soccer Club. Nothing further at this time.
