Hillsborough County, FL – On Saturday, October 4, 2025, a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle occurred at approximately 11:05 a.m., on southbound US-41 near Newberger Road.
A Honda Accord, driven by a 46-year-old woman from New Port Richey, was traveling in the center lane and approaching the intersection. A Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by a 64-year-old man from Tampa, was traveling ahead in the same lane.
The Accord driver, distracted by checking GPS, failed to slow down, overtook the motorcycle, and struck it from behind. The impact ejected the motorcycle rider, who sustained serious injuries. The rider was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The sedan came to a controlled stop following the collision. No additional injuries were reported. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
