Davenport Firefighters Contain Structure Fire on Violet Court

Davenport, FL — On Monday, September 29, at approximately 5:40 PM, Davenport Fire Rescue, Davenport Police Department, and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a reported vehicle fire on the 100 block of Violet Court. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered the fire had rapidly escalated, engulfing a nearby structure.

Within minutes, the blaze had fully consumed the structure, posing a significant threat to the surrounding area. Davenport Police officers were seen heroically evacuating residents from nearby homes. Firefighters worked tirelessly to combat the intense flames, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent properties.

Authorities remained on the scene for several hours, ultimately extinguishing the fire and securing the area. The Davenport Police Department highlighted the exceptional efforts of Officer Jimenez during the evacuation.
