Lake Buena Vista, FL — On Monday evening, Orange County deputies arrested Martha Lucia Zapata-Echeverri at Disney’s Magic Kingdom following an altercation that injured a 17-year-old girl. The incident occurred on Main Street in front of Cinderella Castle during a parade.
According to the police report, the teenager was standing on the sidewalk when Zapata-Echeverri placed her hand on her to create space. The teen asked Zapata-Echeverri not to touch her in Spanish.

The report states that when the victim stepped back to allow another guest to pass, Zapata-Echeverri allegedly grabbed her arm and pulled her aside, resulting in a bruise and abrasion on the teenager.
Zapata-Echeverri told deputies she was following her daughter to reach the front of the crowd and claimed the teenager was pushing into her, asserting it was “her spot.” She demonstrated pushing back with her left arm but provided no clear explanation for the nail marks on the victim.

The 17-year-old was the only person reported injured. No independent witnesses or surveillance footage were available to confirm the incident.
Zapata-Echeverri was arrested and transported to Orange County jail, facing a child abuse charge.
