The Third Annual Mega Dog Adoption Event in Plant City, FL, is happening this weekend, June 6-8, 2025, at the Charlie Grimes Family Agricultural Center (2508 W. Oak Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Over 300 adoption-ready dogs from shelters across the Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Marion, Orange, and Sumter counties, will be available.

All dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped, with adoption fees waived thanks to support from the Athletes & Causes Foundation, Pet Resources Foundation, Chris and Mariah Godwin, and the Florida Strawberry Festival.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control is also participating, bringing adoptable dogs to the event.

Last year, 459 dogs were adopted, and this year aims to give even more dogs a second chance. For more details, visit HillsboroughCounty.org/PetResource or check posts on X for updates.
