Investigators used cellphone footage and a photo lineup to identify Binet as the suspect. The recording showed Binet arguing with the victim before becoming increasingly aggressive and taking the phone. The victim was unharmed, and the phone was undamaged, according to the report.

Binet, employed by the Orlando Police Department since February 2018, has been relieved of duty pending the investigation’s outcome. Authorities have not released further details about the case.
