Fatal Crash at Spring Hill Intersection Leaves One Dead, Three Injured

Spring Hill, FL — On the morning of Sunday, June 8, 2025, at approximately 2:00 AM, a tragic collision at the intersection of Lema Drive and Spring Hill Drive claimed one life and left three others injured, according to local authorities.

An 18-year-old Port Richey man, driving a Hyundai Santa Fe southbound on Lema Drive, failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered the intersection, striking the left side of a Chevy Malibu driven by a 36-year-old Spring Hill woman traveling eastbound on Spring Hill Drive.

Following the impact, both vehicles veered to the southeast corner of the intersection, where the Chevy Malibu collided with a utility pole and a tree. The driver of the Chevy Malibu sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, along with his two passengers—17- and 18-year-old women from Spring Hill—suffered minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Authorities are actively investigating the crash, and no charges have been announced at this time. The intersection was temporarily closed for emergency response but has since reopened.
